WHEN A RANGE IS BUILT RIGHT IN THE
FIRST PLACE
THE LAST THING YOU NEED IS A SERVICE CONTRACT.
|
All ranges offer pneumatic turning, pop-up and running
man targets and can be constructed to withstand up to .50 BMG.
|
|
If we’ve learned anything repairing other people’s ranges
over the years, it’s how to
keep them up and running instead of breaking. We’ve replaced the unreliable parts so our indoor facilities
keep working indefinitely. Say goodbye to down-time and forget about a service contract. If you’re
looking for a dynamite range guaranteed to stay that way, this is it.

THE RAIL SYSTEM
Ours is so well protected we replaced the steel cable driving the carriers with ordinary
nylon twine. The benefits: less weight the motor must pull, and twine never wears out the steel pulleys.

SAFETY BAFFLES
Placed on the ceiling, columns, walls and floor, they direct errant bullets and fragments
straight into the bullet trap. We build our standard baffles of through-hardened 1/4" steel with a Brinell rating
of 400 or 540.
|
| |
|
BULLET TRAPS
Ours perform two functions: stopping bullets safely and making recycling easy. Made
of 3/8" steel, with a Brinell rating of 540, they're the correct hardness to prevent pock-marking and warping. On
the Venetian Trap, the bullets drop into a tray under the plates. On the Escalator Trap, the bullets drop into a
removable collection tray. And since we install everything ourselves, you're guaranteed a perfect fit.

SHOOTING
STALLS
Choose from two standard models: wood finished 1/4" steel plate (shown here),
or 3/4" Lexguard, a clear plastic that provides an unobstructed view along the firing line. Either can be made
bullet-proof up to .50 BMG. There’s also our Central Control Booth option, which lets you preset a target at
one, or all the positions on a range, and includes a p.a. system for clear, 2-way communication between booth and
stalls.

OVERHEAD
TARGET CARRIERS
While considering carrier designs, we made an important decision: the hangers would
only move backward and forward, not turn left and right. Those two directions work best. Because when an overhead
is adapted for turning (rather than installing a turning target), things get complicated in a hurry. And we hate
complicated. Adding position sensor-switches, relay over-rides, deflection plates and a larger motor necessary to
move these extras just increase the chance of failure.

|
THE
PIVOT
It may not look like much, but this simple mechanism connecting the target hanger to
the carrier eliminates the biggest cause of down time on ranges. By allowing the hanger to swing back freely in reaction
to errant shots, the carriers
can take direct hits day after day without breaking.

|
CONTROLS
No need for fancy electronics or gee-whiz computers for handling such a simple job.
Mounted inside the shooting stalls, selector switches attached to a simple electric motor place the target stops precisely
where you want them down range. You can either pre-set the stops or move the carriers into position.
