This simple design modification makes targets safer, and if there is
such a phrase, even ‘more portable.’
Here’s how it works: A piece of angle iron attached
to the impact plate assembly slips into a second piece, forming the vertical stand. This reduces the
stand’s weight by 50% when compared with conventional designs. And because the angle iron faces
the firing line, the entire upright forms a safer deflection surface. This also makes the impact plates
on all our portable and pneumatic targets interchangeable with every stand.
At the risk of sounding immodest,
we’re surprised no one else thought of it before. But it’s one of the differences between
a steel target claiming to be innovative and one that actually is.
